Various Leave Entitlement
Staff members are entitled to Annual Leave depending on the level of appointment and length of service.
60 days of Medical Leave (including 15 days for Outpatient Sick Leave, or up to a total of 60 days if hospitalisation is necessary) are granted per annum.
Other leave which staff members are entitled to (where applicable) are Matrimonial Leave, Maternity Leave, Paternity Leave, Childcare Leave, Child Sick Leave, Birthday Leave, Examination Leave, Bereavement Leave, etc.

Flexible Benefits Programme
(Including insurance coverage)
SMU provides Flexible Benefits Programme to all eligible staff members who are allowed to claim reimbursement for dental, health screening and other expenses. Under the programme, staff members are also covered with 24-hour worldwide Group Insurances. Eligible staff members also have the option to cover their eligible dependants under the Group Medical Insurance, which covers medical outpatient, inpatient and specialist treatment.
